Hi welcome back!
I’ve been thinking about beauty quite a bit lately. I feel women have so much pressure today with all their responsibilities and beauty shouldn’t add to the stress of daily life. Beauty should be fun and simple. I’ve gathered 5 must-read beauty tips below. Beauty Tip #1. When I worked in cosmetics we often said. “the first rule of beauty- there are no rules.” Wear makeup that feels good to you and enhances your features. If you love blue eye liner, rock it. If you want blonder hair, go for it. The great thing about makeup is if you don’t like it you can always wash it off. Being true to your beauty favorites is the quickest way to feeling good. Beauty Tip #2- Keep it simple. Feel free to collect as much makeup as you want–Lord knows I do. What I mean by ‘keep it simple’ is to understand what works for you and use products that you can use everyday. I have a container of items I use every day and can do my makeup in 15 minutes. Getting ready shouldn’t eat up precious time. It also takes the pressure off of having a hectic morning routine. Now a night out, that’s different. Beauty Tip #3- Always wash your face at night. Even if it’s just a cleansing wipe. Your skin will thank you. Sleeping in your makeup can lead to clogged pores, dull skin and breakouts. Plus you might sleep better knowing your skin is fresh and clean. I really make a ritual of it and it helps me relax before bed. Invest in a cleanser you love and a night cream to top off a lovely bedtime routine. Beauty Tip #4 – Invest in quality skincare that works for your skin type and concerns. Taking care of your skin means your makeup will perform better and you may need less of it. There are so many great choices now for all skin types. Invest in a good moisturizer with sunscreen, eye cream, serum and night cream. If you’re not sure what skincare to use I’m happy to make recommendations. Beauty Tip #5- Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. Your skin reflects your lifestyle. I recommend taking a multivitamin, drinking lots of water and getting a full 8 hours sleep whenever possible. For an extra glow take an omega supplement that adds moisture to your skin from the inside out. There you have it! 5 great tips you can easily incorporate into your beauty routine.
